Job Description:
As a member of the Girl Program Team, you will work with other team members to develop and provide quality, age-appropriate, fun and engaging programs for girls to enhance their membership experience and to support troop leaders in providing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to their girls. You will have the privilege of promoting Girl Scouting as an inclusive sisterhood that provides a girl-only safe space.
• Use national and local council curricula, resources and tools to support volunteers and new and progressive girl programming;
• Plan and implement events in northwestern Pennsylvania for girls at all age levels with occasional medium and large-scale events across the council;
• Assist in the planning and presentation of virtual programming;
• Mentor and work with adult volunteers on best practices for program delivery, administrative support, and on delivering a quality membership experience to girls;
• Work with cross-functional team to determine or develop innovative strategies to ensure the effective support of volunteers;
• Cultivate and vet community partnerships and relationships to enhance girl and volunteer member benefits and volunteer-led programming;
Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in youth programming, social service, or related humanities field;
• Minimum of two years of experience and proven success in planning and implementing quality programming for youth;
• Experience with online learning and/or presenting virtual programs is a plus;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and non-traditional work hours including evenings and weekends;
• Ability to travel throughout western PA, as needed;
• Ability to provide superior customer service;
• Must possess a can-do mentality, be responsible, and be a lifelong learner;
• This is a full-time position;
