Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Program Management • Knowledge of JA programs, processes, and technology applications • Meet or exceed territory and JAWPA’s student goals • Oversight of assigned counties/ territories which includes: o Recruiting new schools and school districts o Cultivating relationships with previously enrolled schools/ school districts o Supporting schools with program implementation ? Collaborating with school coordinators/ teachers ? Scheduling programming, JA days, educational events ? Providing Career Education and Work (CEW) artifacts ? Ordering kits from Junior Achievement Supply Company (JASCO) o Ongoing active collaboration and management of the relationship between JA and schools/ school districts ? Attending school board meetings when appropriate ? Following-up with educators regarding feedback on programs, volunteers, material (efficiency and effectiveness) o Attend JA Days to ensure smooth operation and gather information o Collect data and surveys from schools o Collect positive stories and feedback • Community Outreach • Recruit volunteers through corporate and community resources • Recruit volunteers through school districts (High School Heroes) • Train volunteers o How to schedule with schools/school coordinators o How to teach JA programs o How to interact with students o How to use JA technology • Track volunteer documentation (clearances, volunteer release, media, etc.) • Verification/ documentation of completed classes with volunteers • Technology • Enter and maintain data in BCRM • Set up classes in BCRM • Apply for variances when necessary • Verify classes • Explain user management systems to educators and volunteers • Reporting • Track and maintain current classes and student counts • Track kit orders to maintain education budget • Compile information/ reports for district and JAWPA board meetings • Provide student numbers, testimonials, and photos for grant reporting • Miscellaneous • Assist with JA events/ educational events • Scholarship processing o Connect with educators o Score scholarship applications o Enter data into spreadsheet o Answer educator and parent questions o Send award and rejection letters to students o Send award letters to schools o Enter award info into spreadsheet • Promote and support JA Inspire Career Fair • Attend JA USA webinars and trainings • Attend JAWPA trainings • Participate in JAWPA staff meetings • Travel in territory, region, and to other JA sites • Actively participate in Education team planning, implementation, and evaluation activities
